Tim Dugan grew up amongst the Washington DC DIY hardcore punk scene in the mid 80s. While taking painting classes at the Corcoran, making home recordings on a Tascam Porta One, and opening up for Dave Grohl’s band, Dain Bramage, Tim saw a life in music possible. Around this time, he started photographing bands and skating at the Cedar Crest ramp which led to being published in Thrasher. The documentary Blood and Steel, about the CCCC ramp, used 35 frames of Tim’s shots, some of them parallaxed to come off the screen. Tim then spent the 90s at Shepherd University Art School learning photography and the digital arts.
The etchings and vector work both come from his interest in capturing people uniquely. Tim is also working on a postcard series and makes websites for Presspit Photo and Design. Additionally, he is recording his fourth album with members of the famous Fishbone as well as his band the Dugan Paradigm.
